Thanks for the kind words. The bit of chair behind her and dark spot in the upper right are what bug me. And believe me, I warned her about the makeup. She's my sister and she wouldn't have it any other way.

I originally wasn't very happy with this one. But with a little(too

much?) post processing I managed to turn it into something I really

like. I'm thinking of making a nice 8x10 for the model and would be

    happy to hear any suggestions.

    Thanks Bill.

I actually used an orange filter on the lens for this shot. So the light skin tones were expected. This was a tricky one for me to process after scanning. I've got the very light skin and also the dark hair and background. This was the interpretation of the scan I was most happy with. I also made some 8x10 wet darkroom prints today. Although they're pretty much the same in contrast, the tonal transitions are much more distinct.

And oh yeah the spiratone is an old one. Beautiful design and build quality if you ask me. The guys at the local camera shop are really interested to see what its 18 aperture blades can do. I'll probably drop a print off there tomorrow.

    Thanks!

I think you're right about the darkening for more contrast. Your image looks a lot more like my wet darkroom print(which I like better). I'm also pleased to hear you didn't hate the sad look on her face. Most people seem to dislike that.
