  1. K-Lys said: I was wondering if with her look direction, it won't have been better to try something like that... (quickly tried)

K-Lys > Je ne pense pas, au contraire, car elle regarde en biais, legerement vers la gauche de la composition.

I don't think so, I much feel her look going to the left of the composition.

  2. I'm sorry if I hurted you, there are no smileys here for I could transcribe my laughing mood. :-(

Don't you think i'm a kind of geek with my iPod and iMac? ;-)

I'm in respect of that distinction you get, but it seemed to me so easy to just apply a digital filter. If it was not just about that, I apologize, since I don't know PS, as I can't afford a licence, and even if I could, I won't buy it.

I had a glance to your portfolio, and must say I thought bird's ones far more impressive than this one.

So it was just a cranky granpa critique, only take it for fun.

To be more serious, I'm hugely far to have such high talent as you have, go on. ;-)

  3. First, I must say that I have strong prejudice (google translate, not sure of the word) against using digital effect on any picture and calling the result art.

I am in fact kinda old grumling man stupidly settling to film and flying away from any electronic crap. lol

You fell to be one of this filter's geek, as some other did and do on, HDRing anything all over.

So this said, it was a pretty funny experience, not worth the price they ask for the kit, if only this one filter is good for you, and I will help you to go on in your addiction.

If you want the same effect, you just have to make many W's in the in-out levels graph (both colors at the same time) more or less regularly, and more or less close one to another, each line should touch top and bottom of the square.

There had such a tutorial in Macworld some years ago to work with levels this way and some other ways.

    Enjoy! ;-)

  4. I won't say nice shot here, because I suspect multi-shot combination, something is wrong in this picture to be a straight real life shot, unless it was taken with a wide angle zoom, wich are able to large DOF, even when not fully closed.

Beside it is one other thing I'm sure about this, is that this is a nice piece of art.
