Yes, I agree. I was trying to get the head into focus (the original shot was just the glowing part, which looked really strange), and stopping down some more would probably help.

How does this look? My S500 doesn't have a very good macro setting,

only down to about 3 inches, so I reversed another lens in front. Is

the result any good at all? Please let me know if there is anything I

can improve! Thanks!

My cat at sunset (7:24 PM) enjoying herself.

This is right off my S500, totally unchanged. I was thinking a good

crop would be to remove the flower pot and have the tip of her tail

right on the left edge of the photo.
