I like the depth. To me, the expanse of sky seems to balance the water in the foreground. And the tall trees draw my eye to the center of the scene. The hills are so open (i.e. not wooded) yet the banks of the stream are lush. My imagination is kept busy with all the in-betweens. I'd love to know where this was taken, it reminds me of certain parts of Eastern Washington.

Lovely lines, the vertical, clear center opposed to the fluid curves in a soft focus. Gorgeous. I'm very interested in how you got the soft violets and blues in the background.
