    Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi OR Nikon D40

    I am a Nikon DSLR user (D70, D50, and D40). My preference is Nikon over Canon. Since my camera's are unmodified, I like the Nikon ergonomics over Canon. Of my camera's above, the D40 is the simplest, lowest noise, and most suited for astrophotography. This widefield image of M57 (Ring Nebula), and Beta Lyrae variable star was taken with a D40 attached to a Willaim Optic 105mm triplet refractor telescope. Imaged RAW, ISO 800, 10 x 3 min stack. Taken 23 May 2007.
