I recently purchased the canon ste2 transmitter. I have found it very limiting. If anything is blocking it, it just does not work. I would think that pocket wizards are the go, and much more reliable.

Hi guys ,
on reading the post about which shooting mode you all use, I was wondering what
metering mode everyone uses, and why? spot/partial etc?
Does the Black suit and the white dress play havoc in various metering settings?
Do you change it in different situations, or do you leave it set all day?
I use a Canon 5d.
Thankyou all,
warwick.

I have a 50mm 1.4 and love it.
Though a f2.8 zoom is more versitile on a wedding shoot.

I have had problems with lexar cards, freezing the camera and loosing images.

Hello,
I am new to using lightroom. I can not figure out how to make a common change
to multiple images.
Even when i select and highlight mutiple images, the changes ie.exposure, only
happens on one image, not the multiples selected.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you,
Warwick.

Always remember that IS may help camera shake ,but it will not help stop motion blur from the subject.

I have had both on my 5d, The f4 is just too slow, the IS useless when you need the light.
I sold the f4 within 2 weeks of owning it and went with the 24-70 2.8.
I get massive use out of this lens, and its the one i find myself using most often, though it is usually too short in the ceremony.
This lens teamed with the 70-200 2.8 are a great combination.
Hope that helps.

you can purchase a flexible grey card.
you shoot the grey card, in the same lighting conditions as the subject.
then tell your camera that the photo of the grey card is your custom white balance setting.
set custom white balace on camera.
this works perfectly, more time to set up, but no need to shoot raw.

I think the couple would be very happy with the shot, many people get too worried about the detail.
Ask yourself if the couple would notice. 99% of the time the answer is NO. They will love the shot.

i just sold my 24-105 as i needed the extra light. IS is not as handy as the extra stop.
i am very happy with the 2.8 and would not go back.

Hello all,
I use Cs2, and have wondered what are the advantages to also owning lightroom.
What does it do that Cs2 does not?
How benificial is it to wedding work?
Thankyou,
Warwick

Hello,
I have found the amount of text fonts in CS2 quite limited.
Does someone know how to get a larger range of fonts into the program, and it
is easy to do.
thankyou,
Warwick

White balance variations is the first thing that i noticed.
Other wise I think you have done a fair job, It is hard to make average people look good.

thankyou all for your advice. looks like practice is the key

I was wanting a good training dvd for outdoor on camera flash situations.Mostly
in relation to weddings.
I use a Canon 5d with 550 ex flash.
I wanted to learn about this side of lighting, but not studio style.
