  1. <p>Thanks for looking at my post. Up until yesterday, My Canon EOS 500 (Rebel T1i) was saving RAW & JPEG as two seperate files just fine on a 16gig flash card. When I went to download them, they are being saved as JPEG instead of CR2 files.<br>

Not sure if this is a Windows problem or a Camera problem. When I switch to RAW only mode, it see's it just fine as a raw file and I can save it on Windows as a Raw file. But some how, out of the blue, it's acting weird and saving it as JPG.<br>

    Any help would be great!<br /> <br /> Thanks!</p>

  2. <p>I have the same problem! I don't know what's going on, it's frustrating because I just got done shooting a wedding with a $250 flash paper weight! <br /> <br /> To answer everyone here: No, there is no little red pilot light that turns on. Replaced the batteries (several sets, digital camera kind (holds higher amps) ~ still nada. :-(<br>

Can access the menu settings, change things around but nothing comes on (i.e. no pilot light, no flash, nada).<br>

Please... if you've seen or heard of this problem, please let us know. It's brand new, it should be working! :-P~</p>

  3. <p>Here's a third alternative.... Canon EOS 500D ~ It's a hybrid of the 50D and the Mark II. I love it because it has a variety of features and is 1/3 the price vs. both of these cameras. Plus it records HD Video (1080 or 720p)<br>

I was considering the 50D and glad I went with the 500D. :-)</p>

  4. Prices! Prices! Prices! - People shopping around for a good photographer usually are looking for the juicy details like "How much is this going to cost?" and "What can I get for my money?". If they have to waste time trying to find out how much your services are, FORGET IT... you just lost a sale. You don't go to a restaurant and look at a menu with no prices do you? Case & Point. :-)
  5. How does a free lance photographer gain access to sporting events like a

basketball game? (I would guess if you worked for ESPN you are guaranteed a

spot on the floor) but what about the average joe who has a fancy camera like

the pros do... where would I start? I would like to photograph NBA players like

    those by the basketball rim.

    Any replys are appreciated. Thanks!
