You're right John. Warmer images are more pleasing. A white card offers a great starting point from which you can warm things up.

You should also look into the WhiBal. You should shoot it as many times as you need to in mixed light situations to sample color tempertures from all around the room. There are a few urls for it, but I think if you go to rawworkflow.com you'll see it. I just have the pocket-sized one, which is all you should really need.

You won't regret the Sigma. It's a bit slow to focus, but when it does it is razor sharp.

Jeff, You are an inspiration. Regarding metering, you mentioned you have been shooting Manual and Program lately. With Manual, do you use an incident meter or meter through the camera?
