Ellis, thanks.. in this case I agreed to give the model a CD with full resolution jpegs. I think It would be impossible to track each file.. and in the case some "digital artist" do a work over my photos, Do I have any protection?

 

 

Geoff: no customer in this case... this is a TFCD we will made just for artistic promotion.

I am about to shoot fashion/Glamour sessions this weekend, I normally shoot raw (nef) and will share the CD with

all the jpegs to the model.

 

I will do some PS retouching on some selected photos. Besides my own PS retouching, the model is asking to give the

same jpegs to another person to do alternate retouching in PS, thus having more versions of the same photo...

 

I will sign a model release.... but I just don't want someone else doing artwork over my photos.. and possibly

claiming for credit / autoring / co-autoring over my work.. I am not sure how should I handle this issue

 

Any thoughts about this?

Thanks Lex. I will take care in the case something goes wrong. Up to now, piclens is running great with Firefox/Xp. The version I tried is the latest one (from yesterday) and no memory problems up to now, it just runs fine. Best Regards. Ruben

I would recommend to use strobes (can be studio strobes, or Flashes like the SB800) and play with the ambience light component mixed with the strobes component.

I would try this: taking an ambience light test shot, then identify the blind areas, then hide some strobes behind them, and bounce so I get nice effects to the subjects.

OK Patrick.. It seems there is a way to exchange these presets.

Here I have made a conversion of one of mine in ACR. May be you can try if it works.

does anyone has experience adding custom fields to XMP metadata?

here the XMP format used by Bridge:

Patrick,, sound interesting. However I took a look to lightroom presets and they exports as "XXXXXX.lrtemplate" with a complete different structure than the XMP format used by Bridge.

I have my collection of ACR presets , do you have your own?

I ave a complete different view of the problem.

If I didn't have a clear contract *then* I will evaluate costs and benefits of solving the problem.

Among the costs are: business image damage, mainly due to bad propaganda. many other costs are finnancial, you bet.

My suggestion is: make of this problem a good propaganda for you. Have everyone else talking positively about working for you. And get your compensation from future contracts.

shoot RAW, and preserve your digital negatives for any further post processing you may like, and for the future...

Besides having less sharpness, JPEG can not be manipulated without tones loose.
