I've looked through a lot of your macro insect shots ... they are great.

It is not the sort of thing which I take. They are not the sort of thing which I know how to take. That doesn't stop me from thinking that they are fab.

A strange analogy, but they say that great sportsmen make the game they play look easy. You seem to make this sort of shot look easy. The level of detail. the framing, the composition within the frame, the exposure ... time after time you seem to get it just right.

I love the angle, the way he is holding himself.

I like the bland background.

My colour vision isn't great but this does seem a bit flat, a bit muted with a bit of greeny cast.

Also, I'm a big fan of tight cropping, but I'd actually like a bit more of this one. I sliver more of his forehead. You never really know till you see it, but I think I'd like more, possibly the whole, of his hand in frame too.
