Hi,

I recently acquired the RRS BD200-L plate for Nikon D200. I was wondering which ball head in the $200-$300 range will go with this plate? Prefer a Quick release system recommendation please.

Thanks.

Apparently Nikon is preparing Capture NX 2.3 which is 64-bit. It is probably a matter of months away.

You are right Keith. The new version crashed on me too. The only solution for this I found is to save the changes as often as possible. I find that Capture NX2 mostly crashes when you modify Highlight/Shadow/Exp. Compensation...especially when you have some drastic adjustments there.

You are welcome folks. From what I discussed with folks on other forums people find that some of the Win 7 stability issue is taken care of. But I think it is too early to come to this conclusion. But really hoping that Capture NX2 does not, at least, crash.

Yes the update is for NX2. But it is a minor update - from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5. still hoping for NX3 though :-)

Thank You for the response guys.
I completely agree that a good ball head will last many years. I am pretty happy with my Manfrotto tripod. Will the BH-40 LR II be able to handle a 70-200 lens? Currently I have the 18-200. But I am thinking of the 70-200 for sometime now and may get it next year. I don't think I will ever get a lens bigger than that.
