stunning image, works very well in b&w. well exposed with nice contrast.

i find the objects in the bottom left and right corners to be a little distracting though, you could try cropping them out to see if it looks better that way.

    terrific shot though!

i think you've captured the moment quite well, it might look better as a square crop though as the right hand side of the frame is quite dull and is essentially 'empty space'. i guess you left it like this to put the subject on a third, but i'm not sure it's so important. anyway if you cropped it the ladybird would be on a third.

nice focus and depth of field, well done!

i disagree with brian - if you cropped it (presuming you wouldn't want to chop out any of the leg) you'd still have a distracting bit of the room, so i'd leave it the way it is.

or you could try cropping out the guy on the left, to just leave the main subject in the doorway. that is probably how i would crop it, as the guy looking at the camera kind of ruins the moment a bit.

great photo as it is though!

lovely composition, the out of focus 'foreground' is a bit distracting though - think it would have been a better image if everything was sharp.

interesting idea to do a black and white image of a very colourful subject! - works well.

lovely punchy colours, i was surprised to read that this hasn't been manipulated.

nice diagonal line with the river, but the bush in the foreground is a bit distracting and uninteresting for me.

    terrific shot though, nice one.
