Dear Eric and Matt, the problem with my quantaray lens still exists. Whenever I try to get a picutre the camera

viewfinder flashes "e99". I am completely at a loss as to the way around this problem. Any suggestions??

Thanks to Eric and Matt. I did try attaching the lens taking some shots, however somehow it didn't work. Do you think the amount of light getting in could be a problem ( Since it was indoors and as Matt says it is not a very fast lens).

I recently bought a Nikon N70 along with a Quantaray 70-300 mm lens. I also happen to have a NikonD40 i.e. a

digital SLR. My question is "will I be able to use the Quantaray lens on the D40 body without doing any harm to the

camera or the lens".

Jerry, I would really hope that you start to love your DSLR camera and the lenses better than you do now. The D60 is a good camera and you should be able to do lot of experiments with it (in case you are interested in experimental photography). As far taking pictures of "used keyboards" and stuff like that any P&S camera is more than sufficient. Good luck.

Of all the lenses that I have the Nikon 50mm, f1.4D is my personal favourite. The kind of narrow depth of field it provides and the flexibility of shooting in almost any illumination is simply marvelous.
