Nah Les your off the money, Shot as described, rider locking it up into the corner getting uit crossed up we shot this about 6 times to get it right I have a 8 shot sequence of it.

Definatly crop to the top of the middle chicane.

took over from me when I left wasn't much chop, can't say I'd

disagree, Tried a shot from behind as he locked the rear up at some

serious speed.

It's a sick shot but it ain't sharp.

Yep about 1/3 to 1/2 of a stop.

Just looking at the stance of the batsmen and the keepr I'd say that this is about Z grade cricket, take away the fact that the batsmen has been bowled and it is a pretty ordinary photo, it's not sharp it's framed wrong. Just getting the ball hitting the stumps as you have done does not make a good photo, You have to have everything in place for it to be decent.

Toby you definatly got your beer gogles on, This pic is too loose and out of focus, shutter too fast.

 

Shoot tighter slower and get it in sharp.

Shoot wide open to blow the background, would have been better if he was diving towards you.

if he was going the other way it would have been better as it looks like he is pulling into a closeout. Other than that its fine.

your joking aren't you? you posted this by accident or you've been drinking and didn't realsise the shot is so out of focus that it is almost impossible to tell what the subject is, Eiteher get off the drugs or stop taking photos.

Your in luck because I really like out of focus sports pics, not.

May have been half decent if you'd kept the camera still or panned with the horse.

Slow your shutter down to around 1/250 for this type of shot.

I saw the beach and thought this might be Australia somewhere then I saw the barbed wire and thought not in your lifetime. Great shot but.

Tim was always crazy I remember him riding a bodyboard at waimea shorey 12 foot bombs and him just getting smashed. Lst I heard he got nailed in Tahiti during last years billabong pro. I haven't seen him for about 5 years but he is the best water photographer on the planet.

 

Next time your in Sydney drop me an email I am usually shooting the Island at Cronulla when its on. The Shark Island Challenge is on in 6 weeks definatly worth a few sickies from work to catch the action.

I just noticed its titled the box,

I take it its the surf spot the box just north of margarets river.

 

You are shooting in the water with a fisheye, Mate you are freakin crazy I've surfed the box and it is one heavy duty wave that will kick your ass so hard if you come off. And for you to be shooting in the wall of the wave makes you crazy.

 

My mate Tim Jones shoots here alot when in WA and he wont go near the place with anything less than a 50mm lens your nuts man, but it's a sick shot. One heaving keg.

I challenge ANYONE to do this and get somethung this good.

The only bad thing about this and it is in no way your fault, but the lip isn't pitching far enough to give it the really round barrel, But I am used to shooting Kirra and Burleigh, they are as round as a cement mixer.

Hey MORT how many times are you going to post this photo for critique this is about the 4th time I've seen it in 5 weeks get over it. Its a reasonable shot. Now give us something different. Or are you just trying to amass a large number of veiws.

It looks like Kirra on a small day. Though kirra breaks like this for about 2 miles now breaking all the way from Snapper Rocks thru Greenmount into Kirra. But it needs to be 6 foot solid. I'll try and did out some shots of I have of going for miles.

Robert the main problem is that 15 years ago when I and many other learnt to surf there were no esky lidders, "body boarders" Any spastic can lie on their guts and surf accross a wave but surfing standing up is the most difficult sport you will ever try and learn, period. It should be mandatory that when you turn 15 you must stand up.

Hey Jeff check out some of my surf shots and tell me the lines aren't as good, you know why because there are no lines in the sky big airs man. And big boosts.
