Some kind of motion would add a lot of dynamics to this photo. It's otherwise very boring. Some of the shots in your gallery are much better. Wheels turning, dirt flying... that's what you want. Try to simplify the backgrounds. No track boundaries at the edges of the frame will help.

Two model airplanes chasing each other around at the local R/C field on
a Sunday afternoon.

An attempt at making a Self Portrait. Not easy to do.

I'm learning to use some basic studio lighting, and toying with burning
and dodgeing. PSE 5.0 used to burn and dodge, left a little bit of a halo
around the image. I can only get better, right? Please give constructive
feedback.

I agree that her arm in the foreground is distracting, but I couldn't crop any more out without ruining the overall image. As it is, I cropped a good amount from both the right, bottom, and left of the original image.
Personally, I've never seen teens come up with shots like this. Just snapshots with no forethought.

I like it too, although I might have just cropped it for the foreground cell for it's clarity. Do F-18's always fly with their tailhook down?

My 16 year old daughter took this photo of herself using a PAS Digital
camera. The only thing I did to it was a little lighting adjustment using
Photoshop Elements 5.0 and cropped it slightly for 8x10. In the lower
right you can see that she is holding the camera in her left hand. She
doesn't live with me so I've never given her any pointers in photography.
I for one am very impressed by her artistic eye and think she may have
a future in photography with the proper instruction (at the least she
could be a model). Please tell me what you think.

Shot at the local R/C flying field in Irvington, AL. (Azalea City Model
Aeronautics) Model built and flown by Robert Baker.

Where can I get a table like that?
The lighting on the sitting models feet is the only distracting thing about this otherwise beautiful shot. Thanks for sharing.

She has a beautiful backside! Great curves!
-
It makes her look anorhexic. Her backside gets lost.

A great flying model.

Nice capture Michael. I shot a similar photo at the 2006 Pensacola Beach Show. It was the first time I used my camera and zoom lens (bought specifically for that show). At the time though, I didn't have PS Elements for photo editing, so it's not as clean as it could be.

Jim, I think this would be a good candidate for a High Key session. I like her seductive expression.

but I think one solid set of hands holding the frame would have created more impact.

He has a great physique, but it just doesn't look right without all the parts!

I also agree that a B/W version might be more powerful, or even a blue or red tint.

Just playing around with some night photography. Probably should
have used F8 instead of F5 with the overcast sky. Oh well... next time.
