  1. I bought mine about two years ago and have used it quite often (although something stopped me from bringing it and my Sonnar 180mm f2.8 to the top of Half-Dome lately, I tried to put it in my backpack and decided... to take my Fuji 670 instead!). I use it mainly for portrait shots (with the 180mm) and landscape (with a Flektogon 50mm). So far, so good, I treat it with some care (especially when I wind the film) and everything is fine. I even had the pleasing surprise to find that the meter was accurate enough one day that I forgot my hand-held meter. I really like those inexpensive Zeiss Jena lenses.
  2. Good pics in Sigma are (IMHO): 400 f5.6, 300f4, 17-35 f2.8-4 and their macro lenses (50mm, 105mm and 180mm). Generally speaking their EX series are quite good.
  3. Yep, I thought I had this same problem the first minutes I got my LX (I remember at least 5 minutes of cold sweats) but placing some film in it solved everything. I hope it will be the same for you. Incidently, I bought a Minolta CLE one year later and had the same scare... OTF measure is definitely not for the faint of heart! (Or the slow learners as me...)
  4. I agree with the previous post: very good lens, especially for the price.

    I've owned mine for a little more than two years now (Pentax mount) and I'm very pleased with it. The only thing is this 82mm filter size but in return, you can use normal thickness filters without vigneting.

    A keeper.

  5. FNAC is the name of the place.

    The 3 biggest stores in Paris are:

    * Les Halles, 1/7 rue Pierre Lescot 75001 Paris. Tél : 01 40 41 40 00

    * one near Montparnasse, 136 rue de Rennes 75006 Paris. Tél : 01 49 54 30 00

    * one near l'Etoile, 26/30 avenue des Ternes, 75017 Paris. Tél : 01 44 09 18 00

    They usually have reasonable prices.
