I have driven by here a number of times myself! Thanks, Micki, for your visits and comments, especially on Katrina documentary pics. It's hard to imagine the the raw emotion of such an experience without standing on the terra infirma... It is New Orleans, it is the Gulf Coast, though it is no longer a walk down memory lane to visit...not to recognize the places once loved is a sad thing. And you are correct, we put on our pink boots and pink caps anyway and keep cleaning up! Here's to a quiet 2007 season...

It does encourage one to be an emotional vegetarian, for feeding the wolf will only temporarily satisfy him, he will certainly keep coming back for more...if the diversion carnivore dish is empty, then the sheep...well...we can speculate as to the artist's intent, and, hail emotional vegetarianism! Nicely done.

I love that you have an eagle eye in capturing such an image with great emotion. Yes, she wants to be loved, but will not offer her heart first. This is the origin of how adults grow into a self defeating habit, perhaps of learning to never authentically offer their hearts, first, or, at all in real way. What a loss! A person, ECR, is a master at this, though, it is much less attrative when an adult engages in a child's expressions of fear. And more destructive too. I think for this little one it will be but a transient moment, for clearly, she is loved and will love in return when her feelings are healed. And, transient sadness teaches if guided by those who love the child.

Beginner, okay, but beginners often have the freshest, most careful eye for detail. This is one of the best currently on the forum. Very nicely done.
  1. Your images speak loudly to the eyes attached to the ears. We all can relate to the great expression on the face of the pure white dog; it is the pure emotion of being separate, even while in focus of the eyes of others. Very nice contrast of the grey iron and the long soft white fur of the pup. Very nice.
