Composition, simplicity and mono treatment all go to the making of a very good picture. You can almost hear the very light splash of the foot in the water! Well done! Regards, Tony.

Very sharp and exact which brings out the superb intensity of the direct 'look': Lighting is really good and un-complicated, giving just the right amount of soft modelling with backlit halo. I really like it (and the model too!) - Tony.

  1. The 'halo' effect or pixel aberrations you refer to have no real bearing on the camera or lens used but has more to do with the jpeg compression used by PN to produce the smaller image. I see it a lot, especially where there is high contrast or where there is a well defined boundary between light and dark areas. As you say, it vanishes in the full size picture and there is not much you can do about it. (except to produce files that are small enough to avoid compression by PN). You can replicate this effect quite easily by saving an image in jpeg at 12 (PS minimum compression) and then save another copy at say 3. This makes a really nasty mess of the boundary areas! Regards, Tony.
