My apology for this LATE response....
This is one of my favorite shots ever done with my D70, and I have a large print in my radiology office. I'm very glad you enjoy it.
-
Sorry for the LATE response!
I had quite a bit of control in-camera with the D2X and tried to previsualize this effect as much as possible to help choose where to position the camera.

Image overlay with Nikon D3, 24-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor and cyanotype

Overlay in-camera from selected RAW images

Monochrome conversion in LR (Adobe Lightroom) using Develop module.

Jane was shot in flourescent balance with studio flash in RAW and 2
images were selected for superimposition in the camera.
I printed this image later, with experimental color settings.
-
I submitted a monochrome derivative of this image file in my portfolio
as well; this was an IR direct capture with #87 Wratten filter, D200,
12-24 DX
-
The D200 was used for a RAW image overlay composite of 2 files shot in
afternoon light, with 18-200 VR lens.

Originially, this was a long-exposure color rendition of the moon near
the horizon in the California desert. It was altered in CS2
-
Used Nikon D2X and image overlay feature to combine 5 RAW images
in-camera (studio flash)
-
I hung from a jumar (ascender) on a nearby climbing rope to shoot this
one with a Nikon F5 and 16mm fisheye- scanned from transparency
