<p>Check out the Canon MP series of Printers. I have been doing film stripping many times with no problems. I have also done a LOT of slide conversion to images with my MP980 Canon Printer. Love the Canon Printers. Haven't had any experience with 4x5 negatives or slides.</p>
<p>Also I use the Canon software for my projects. It's free and comes with the printers.</p>

I would like to have your input, either pro or con, about the equipment that Gary Fong has to offer. Think
seriously about getting into their items for weddings.
Thank you.

I have been using M/S Digital Imaging. Very much like Photoshop, but easier and a lot cheaper. Costco, Fry Electronics carry it. Price about 85 - 90 dollars. Has a lot of file formats and it works. No bug in it. I have used in about 10 years. Love it.
www.mwhallockphoto.com has several items of work from it.
Hope this helps.

One of the main factors for good or great B&Ws is the PRINTER! Whether you send it out or print it yourself, get the best printer available. Epson makes the best B&W printer you need. Although they make the B&W photo on their color printers, when you decide to print B&W you can do no wrong!

You don't need to shoot with faster film, because you set the film speed on the flash unit and it automatically figures everything for you.
It is a fantastic flash unit and I have been looking to buy a couple more if anyone has them for sale (and they work properly.)

Be careful. There is a scam going on that involves something like this. Did you received payment for the wedding in advance? Make sure the check(s) clear before you put any money into this wedding. And I did notice that she "talked" by email to you. This is EXACTLY like the scam several of us wedding photographers were contacted by.

Good evening all.
I advertise a lot on Craig's List and a gentleman responded to my ad that he is
in need of a wedding photographer in Honolulu on July 28th. He is deaf and why
he contacted me I don't know, but being the kind heart that I am, I said that I
would put out the word to my compadres and see if anything could show up. His
email address is: Mark barth <mbarthm@gmail.com>
Please get in touch with him as soon as possible.
Thank you.

Has any one have the experience with the slide show program called Proshow Gold
from Photodex?
I have reviewed several and undecided on which one to get. I liked the one from
Showitfast but the restrictions are not my cup of tea. I am seriously thinking
about ProShow Gold and plan to buy it this week.
But I wanted to get any input about the program.
Thanks ahead of time.

Recently I was on Ebay and spotted a remote control for the Olympus Digital cameras. I didn't have the time then to check it out, but I will in the next few days and get you some more information.

I have been using this technique about a 17 years. And it works great. What it does, is the flash take care of the subject and the the 1/8 of the sec takes care of the exiting light in the church. I wouldn't use it on any other shots, especially outdoors. It was orignally setup by some California photographers and passed around by the WPA.
Use it.

I recently bought the 7500 Flash and it's marvelous!. I can't wait to do my next wedding with. I have used it on some commercial shots and have had no problems with it at all.
It seems to work better in the manual mode of my digital camera. The flash and camera "talk" to each other.
Don't think you will be disappointed with this unit.
