  1. Wow, thanks, you guys are fast. Yes, last night when I noticed it I wondered if it might just be a prioritization of backend processes. It would make sense to process new images faster than updates. Thus, I waited overnight, but still noticed the problem. (Second, I tend to agree about updating images after they have been posted, critiqued and rated. Personally, I try to add a comment if I update and image that has been rated or critiqued. That's another thread, though, eh?) Last, is there something I need to try on the client side to clear my cache, besides deleting temp files?
  2. I have been out of the loop for a few months. Maybe I've missed something, but so far I have not found this topic in

any forums. When I replace an existing image with a new version through Edit Image Info, the updated image does

not appear in either the folder view or the single image view, even after a page refresh. I have tried deleteing temp files

(IE7). I was able to trick the folder view to show the updated image by going to the reorder images section and then

going back. But when I click on the image, it still shows the old version. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a

new procedure, or background process, that affects how and when an updated image becomes visible? It used to be

    immediate.

  3. David is right. Bob, 1) All I have to do is jump between multiple sites which I use a lot, including PN, to know that the problem is PN, not my ISP. 2) Traffic may be up, but my guess is there are code changes affecting performance, including ones having to do with ads. 3) It is getting consistently worse, seemingly, especially, in the last two weeks.
  4. I just got the 3800 today. I'll try to come back and post more as I learn. So far: Ditto on the front latch. Somebody warned me about it before I got the box in the car (from Showcase in Atlanta, GA). But they also said it is a great printer. I've printed two 8x10's on Epson's premium luster paper. The second one is superb after I went to the custom settings and unchecked high-speed, but still left it at 1440dpi. If anyone else has tips and trick, please chime in. ... As for the Epson velvet fine art paper, I think the instructions say not to use that paper with the 3800.
  5. Forgive me if I repeat anything or confuse the subject, as I only scanned the discussion... The only problem with using the d200 as a commander is that the in-camera flash will also go off. To avoid this, you need either a flash sync cord or the remote commader unit to keep the in-camera flash suppressed. You may also be interested in an off-camera flash bracket. Wimberly makes a good one. Kudos to those who provided instructions. I used the manuals to figure this stuff out, and a drink was indeed merited afterward. However, I learned a lot about the SB800 navigation menu during the process, so that was a plus.
