1.
If you continue to have issues with it report it to Pantone. There have a few instnaces where the colours had changed after calibration giving wrong colours or a colour cast.
I had the exact same thing with mine and after a few eamils to Pantone, sending them files of what was wrong, they sent me a new Huey Pro as it was the calibration widget that had decided not to work properly, i've had no problems since, in fact it seems better than it was before.

 2.
Thanks for your help everyone. I had been holding out for a 500 or 600 but the 200-400 came up at a price that I just couldnt refuse it. I already have the 1.7 so I guess as soon as the lens arrives I will take it out and see what it performs like.

 3.
Ive just manged to purchase a 200-400vr and was wondering if anyone had any experience using tc's on it, either the 1.4 or 1.7. Ive read differing opinions about the 1.7, some good some bad. I dont pick the lens up till this coming friday so am unable to test it out with the 1.7 which I allready own. So I have been debating whether to chop the 1.7 in for a 1.4 or keep it and buy a 1.4 as well.
I currently use the 1.7 on a 70-200, though only when I have to as the images are a tad on the soft side when using this combo, so getting rid of it would not be an issue. Any thoughts on this.

 4.
Just had a bit of a wierd thing happen. Went to log in, enter email ok, then went to put the password in and it wouldnt accept it. Now it was one that ive used for a while now and I always check the 'remember me' box, so it was a bit of a surprsie that I had to long in again at all. Password has now been reset but it was a bit of a pain though. Does this mean that my account has been tried to be hacked or is it a site thing that decided it didnt like my password.

 5.
"But really hoping that Capture NX2 does not, at least, crash."

I was kind of hoping the same thing, alas it was not to be. Installed the update and NX2 crashed on the second image to be processed.

 6.
I dont use a mac but I have just bought the Pro Lite E2407HDS. The picture quality is very good and suits my needs and looks spot on once calibrated. So far the only real thing I can criticize is the inbuilt speakers, they are ok for normal bings and bongs of windows sounds but for anything other than that, music films etc, then you will definately need external speakers. Not tested the hdmi yet as, to be truthful, I have nothing apart from my D3, that has hdmi on it and personally have no real need for it.
I think for what they cost you really cant go wrong with one.

 7.
Most files folder etc will transfer easy enough using Windows 7 Easy Transfer, this can be done either by cable, network or usb device. Not really sure as to whether the programs would work like this but I would hesitate to say probably not and that you would have to install them again. As for the rest of the things, mouse, keyboard and anything else that you have plugged in, it should work without any fuss, as soon as you plug them in it will install all the relevant drivers and on the odd occasion where no driver is found on plugging in the device, it generally sorts itself out after doing an update.
If you have something that will only work in Xp then the easiest option is just to download the Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode, install and then run all things XP to your hearts content.

 8.
For me, yes, everytime, as soon as the images are uploaded the card is put back in the camera and formatted. Ive had few issues with corupt cards in the past so now it is a matter of course to format everytime, but everyone has a different way of doing things, so, if it works for you then do what ever you are happy with.
