Hi,

The beams started early this year. I was in the upper 2 days ago and the

lower today. Both had good lightings and strong beams....and more

importantly, not so crowded (yet). The guides were very surprised by the

strength of the beams. Very good time to shoot and avoid the crowd. There

were 4 other people shooting the beams in the upper...and I was by myself

catching the beams in the lower!!

 

Light clouds make the chambers glow beautifully and sunsets dramatic (can't

report about sunrise hahaha). I was at Allstrom point for sunset 2 days ago

and it was awesome!!

Hey, I also recommend driving to Talum, Uxamal, Merida. But a MUST this week and next week is Chichen Itza. During this time, morning and afternoon light produces the famous serpent ascending El Castilo's staircase. If you miss it, you can also see the sound and light show in the evening which recreates such phenomenon.
