I would hesitate to put the batteries in the freezer or refrig. Batteries deplete faster when used in cold weather. So, it would seem that a dry, room temp would be the way to store the batteries. I don't know of a Pro camera store that would put batteries in the freezer or refrig as they do with photo paper & film. I would suggest trying these options and seeing which way last longer. That way, there would be no guessing which is best for you.
