I talked to my wife about the this image. She is NOT a photographer. She said that if she were to have purchased the image, and then later found out that the plane was digitally inserted, she would be pretty disappointed. I think it's hard to get past the notion that when people see an image, they expect that what they see was actually there in front of the camera. I feel that composites definitely cross the border between photography and digital art, and should be represented this way.

Really nice shot!  Great emotion and moment.  Could use some dodging in black clothing to increase detail and separartion from the background on the right side of the guy.

I agree with Melissa.  I couldn't figure out what was going on with that skin.   With a different pose it would be really nice.

I think it's nice but you go too far with the eyes in post.  The stray hair doesn't bother me.

'Good enough to be professional' doesn't mean anything.  You can find plenty of people making a living at photography that aren't very good at photography, and plenty of amateurs that have great talent.
