The high saturation really works for this picture. Very crisp, too! I might have placed the horizon line a little higher, but this composition works, too.

I think this is your strongest picture. Very nice catch! I suggest you don't crop too much on the right for 3 reasons: 1. You don't want the bird dead center in the frame, it would make the composition more boring. 2. The bird's head is tilted toward the right, so you should have open space on that side of the frame. 3. The upper left corner is actually the most distracting region of the picture because it is much brighter than the rest. I suggest you crop the left side almost up to the tail feather of the bird, then crop a good bit on the top (maybe 30% or so), then crop on the right until the picture looks the best to you. Please post the results, I would be interested to see them.

    Green Round Leaves

Try to find an area that is completely covered with the leaves. The black ring in the center attracts the eye to the leaf there - which unfortunately is out of focus. For this particular composition, it would be really cool to have only that one leaf in focus, i.e. shoot wide open and manually focus on it. Otherwise, I would suggest more DOF to get everything in focus here. Welcome to photo.net!
  1. Nice composition, I like the emphasis on the sky. But way too much saturation. The pile of sand in the foreground is distracting because it is the only element of that color. Maybe it can be cropped.

I like the photo the way it is, I would not change the format. The atmosphere is created by the large cloud area. Maybe the colors could be desaturated or B/W? I like it!
