This is my first time trying a photo like this. It was taken

completely with natural light, through the windowsil. The lights in

the room were off, which made the background almost completely

black. I used the Photoshop burn tool to clean up some pillows in

the background (as well as some background noise from the digicam).

One thing I am never sure about with this kind of shot is whether I

should have stopped down enough to have more than the front of him

in focus (his left eye is soft). I actually like it like this, but

would love feedback from other photo.net-ers.

Anyway, this is my nineteen month old little brother. Cute kid.

I didn't have very much time to compose. The Parisians were not very

friendly about photos. I almost got beaten up by these scary dudes

at another booth. Nonetheless, I really like the way this came out.

Should I have put the guy closer to me and had the beads behind him?

Should I try and lighten up the stuff behind him (where the woman is

shopping)?

This was part of a larger photograph that included others. Something

about this part of it stands out to me on its own. Maybe I should

have had the whole eye?
