I've recently become interested in taking some abstract images and so

starting to shoot a few. This image is of air exhaust vents in our

building with a tungsten white balance. I really like it's simplicity

but is there something I could do to make it better with more impact?

As everyone has mentioned the colors are wonderful and the focus is spot on. I like the way the back ground is way out of focus. The angle of the flowers also makes for an interesting photo. Well done.

To improve the shot you could have:

1. got closer to the flowers - the top left hand section has a nice line of flowers. These flowers seem very delicate and it would be great to see more of their delicacy in the picture. Also the flowers in the top right hand corner distract slightly from the main flowers.

2. maybe moving around to the right a bit to show slightly more of the flowers would also be nice

These flowers grow in lines on a vine which reminded me of flames

from a fire. Comments, critiques and improvements welcome.

This was my first attempt at a part macro part abstract photo. All

feedback welcome, especially comments to improve my photography.
