This image may work a bit better if the subject were less centered. Moving the image frame so the tomb sits more on the right hand side of the image would make it more compelling.

I think this image would have a greater impact without the man in the immediate background. Were there even a crowd pushed back so they appeared more as a soft blur of color I think your image would work better.

Pugs always make an interesting subject. My parents have one and I have photographed her many times. I love the shallow DOF on this. I'm wondering if you could use a key light to get a different effect on the eyes though.

Looking at some of your colors here I wonder how the image would carry if there were a greater range of color. I'm not sure the sky exactly works they way it is presented currently. I do enjoy the funkiness of the color in this image I'm just suggesting perhaps take it up a notch.
  1. I've been doing a lot more live music photography and it can be hard. This image has the advantage of being out of a bar or club where your lighting can be more limited. I'm wondering if you may be able to improve this shot if you were able to move a little more head on. Also if you moved up higher and were able to eliminate some of the tent above it may help the composition. Overall nice work though.

I enjoy this image a lot. Perhaps however if you moved your angle to reveal more of the background? Lowering the camera and having a perspective that is more eye-level with the hydrant.
