Bob, glad you put "religious" in quotes. This is really sad. I am no neurosurgeon, but a dirty, day old wound that obviously is penetrating the bone - I doubt he made it. Thanks for sharing. Ben -
While I understand your photo-journalistic intention (and as such, I like the shot), coming from the medical field, I get a little uneasy - I would assume that doing a documentary, you had permission to shoot in the hospital, and I hope you had this man's permission to take that photo. Seeing that at the time of the photo he appears to have at least an altered mental status, it could be seen as problematic...
