I do have 20D with Segma 10-22 lens, and I have 5d with 17-40L.
My exerpeince that the 20D with Segma 10-22 gave me much better results specialy if I want to emphasize destortion effect.
However, if you are not concerned with Money, Go with 5d MarkII and 17-40 lens. You will not regret it.

I agree with Dan South and Betty Lowery.
I would like form a positive point of view and hope that it's a good way to show your good work.
However, If you start putting all those restrictions, It will be not the best way to advertise yourself.

I've got mine 2 days ago.
I have about 150 shots so far. I can tell you it's amazing. Have no regrets what so ever from a photography point of view. worth the upgrade from my old 5D(Which I'm already loving)
The onlything thing that I'm having issue with is the HD Video. I'm still trying to figure it out.
The movie runs nice and sharp on the camera, After downloading it using the software that is coming with the camera, I feel that there are few frames get dropped from the movie while the movie is running. Not sure why yet?

For my 20D,
Sigma 10 - 20 F4.5/5.6
For my 5D,
17 - 40L F4,
24 - 105L IS F4, and
70 - 200L IS 2.8
For 1V,
50 mm 1.8
70-200 2.8 IS Best Choice?
