An experiment in photographing a chocolate brown large cent. Coin

collectors will understand. For anyone else interested this is a US

large cent. Untill the late 1800s the penny was about twice the size

as the ones we use now.

Who doesn't like bunnies?

Even though bunnies will freeze when they're scared you can't usually get this close. The bunny's in a terrific pose. The dark leaves to the right help direct focus to the bunny's face.

This photo could have been improved if the foreground and background were more out-of-focus. A larger apeture would have helped.

All together I like the shot.

A ring light is the primary light source with a secondary flash at

about 10 o'clock. I am experimenting with macro photography and

especially apreciate criticisim that will help me improve my

effectiveness. While the attractivness of the image is important I am

more interested in producing an accurate representation for historical

purposes.

This image is experimentation with a whole new setup. The dogs

quickly decided they didn't like the flash and I doubt I'll get

another chance to get more like this.
