Hello all i asked a question awhile back on which wide angle lens would be good for me and thank you all for your help. Well I finally got the tokina 12-24 very happy with it. But now my old d50 is dying, meter not working, under exposes really bad. tried resets, ckd exposure compensation, etc. still no good. So my question is would i be better off getting another d50 or d7000 or waiting for something new maybe coming soon? My d50 is pretty much unusable. I shoot it in raw and can adjust exposure in pp but very hard to expose properly to take photo.

Thank you both for your feedback. So If I had a 17-55 or 17-50 then the 11-16 would be a better choice?

I would like to get an uwa lens, nikon to expensive for me Ive pretty much decided on tokina 11-16 or 12-24. my question is will i see much diff. in image quality between these two lens? I really dont shoot alot indoors but thought 2.8 would be nice to have if needed. Or will I be just as happy with the 12-24? Thanks for any help.

Hello all, I was asked to take photos for a wedding, As of right now i only have a d50, lens include nikon 18-55 kit, 55-200 kit, 50 f1.8, AF-180 f2.8 D, tamron 180mm macro 1:1, sb-600, Manfrotto tripod. I told the person that asked that i could take pics but could not promise anything and they said they are fine with that. Question is do you think i can get some decent pics with the equipment i have? I know a d50 thats all i have right now, gonna upgrade been waiting for nikon announcement of new bodys. I have taken some pretty decent pics with the d50 but feel like under pressure to get good pics for wedding. any comments appreciated.

Thanks all of you for your responses. I
guess I'll have to get the d7k now, I can't
wait that long to get a new body. And the
d7k does have all the features I want. I
also got a Hoya ndx400 when i got my
tokina 12/24 for long exposures, and live
view might be usefull with that. Again
thank you. I'll miss my d50..... Served me
well.
