  1. I bought an 2nd hand G3 for my first digital. I gained some

experience in last month and want more advices.

    My experience :

    1. Can work with my Metz 40mz3i without mulfunction. (no adopter)

    2. Use optical viewfinder will speed up focusing especially in low

light environment. ( I guess hand hold LCD will cause more shake).

Some questions. 1. Use 16bit file from Raw will develop better photo

    in shop ?

    2. Image softer under sun than indoor flash ? (May be cause by

flare. I will make some experiment with an paper hood.)

    3. Any advice to improve in Photoshop.

I need more advices to explore the fun of G3, Thank you very much.

  2. Hi,

    I think your idea work.

I bought an 35mm to 67 mount for my MZ-3. Its work including infocus indicator/sound, spot meter. However, an battery handle is need for large lens.

My MZ-3 is LIGHT, reliable as 67/67II, with 1/120syn, quality build in flash can produce fine color.

I cant sure the iamge quality from 67 lenses in 35mm. But I know quality of these lens is excellent. A little warning is these lens may cause slighty contrast lost due to different format. The problem may occur in somw low contrast film type or 67 lenses with large image circle.

  3. Hi All,

I began photoing 3 years ago. My friend told me to buy a Pentax 67. 1 year later, they told me to buy an 4x5. So I hadnt enjoy the pleasure of 35mm before. Till a rainy day last month, we brought different format to a alley and enjoy an happy weekend. Now, an compact 35mm always in my 4x5 camera bag and briefcase.

  4. Hi,

My friends, a good protrait shooter, use Wollensak and throw the Imagon finally.

I have some experince. Wollenask creat too much red color but nice soft. Heliar creat pleasing smooth skin tone. I never use my old Cooke protrait. But photo from a friend with England look (like oil paint).

Following photo from 9" Wellensak. Havent checked the coverage.

    Good luck.

  5. Hi,

If it come with Compur, the previous owners may consider it is an an good lens.

My uncoated 2.5" Cooke/F6.5 said to cover 6x9cm (I havent examined it). I am curious to know the 2 lenses will have similar design. However, I still think your lens cant cover 4x5" with sharp edge.

    Best wishes.

  6. Hi,

Some scratches and bubbles nearly not affect the image quality. Dont bother. But haze and cleaning mark (many thinly scratches) will do harm to contrast. In this occasion, buy another one.

Try enlarge an good photo (30"or more) to make sure the quality and style of your lens.
