  1. Triptych of a few water reflections. The two on the outside have

minimum PS, just upped Sat, Curves, sharpening, crop. The middle one

the Hue is changed to get the colors, some dodge/burn, curves and

    sharpen.

How is the order? Any suggestions on the individual photos?

    Thanks!

You captured some great colors, and balanced the photo nicely. I would consider dodging a bit around the bird's eye, and burning the eye a bit, to emphasize this, since the photo is more a portrait of the bird than a typical nature photo. Also, I would up the sat. on the bird's neck, beak, and "forehead," to match the color intensity of the rest of the photo (i.e. background and wings). In terms of framing, may want to use a simpler frame, since the photo is more subtle than the frame gives it credit for.

    Danish Fort

Taken during the calm before a great storm in Denmark. Should I crop

the tree some on the left? I think it would help focus the viewer into

the picture, but I'm a bit aattached to the part where the tree almost

touches the water, and also, I'm afraid if I crop, it would unbalance

the weight too much to the left. Help? Any suggestions are welcome.

Taken in Florida after spending sometime in the middle of 10 minutes

getting closer and closer to the bird. I played with the background a

bit by swirling it, because I think it fits with the birds

contortions. Does it work? Thanks, Alex.

I am very interested in what you think of this photo... What is your

reaction to it? Is there a way to make the reaction more effective?

Should I get rid of the color entirely? Is it too dark? Thanks for

    looking!

I'm glad to know it has some effect on the viewer. I got pretty sad when I saw him, followed by excited getting my camera out. Adam, I didn't have to edit the colors besides color mixer to make it monochrome. I did a bit of D+B on the dude to accent his features a bit.

    Cristian,

I thought of putting him on the side, and I Agree it would make the image more comfortable. But I like putting him in the middle because the photo has a more acute effect on me when he's in the center.

Thank you for your comments, and for looking.

I kinda wish the duck-like footprints stood out some more. How's the

dof? I'm also iffy on the framing... feels like a bit of an unnatural

angle. Suggestions and comments are appreciated!

  3. Thanks for taking the time to look! I thought that since the ducks were silhouetted, it would be better to focus on the island... but I think you're right that that was a mistake and detracts from the composition. Next time. THanks for pointing out the dust specks... I hadn't noticed them. Thanks again for visiting!
  4. At sunrise... I tried several shots as the ducklings moved across my

path. I tried flashing the ducks, but those were a bit dull and still

underexposed. I like this a bit more. Suggestions are always

    appreciated! Have a nice day.

  5. I spent several hours in the middle of the night in Suburbia trying to

find the beauty of it. I had a fabulous time... this is one of the

results of the expedition. This street is the next one over from my

mom's house in New Jersey, USA... a state that some refer to as the

Armpit of America. Even NJ though has its moments. Comments on how I

can improve the photo are much appreciated. Thanks for looking!

I think you can tell that this image is a very personal one... one that you like and enjoyed taking. I can see a completely different perspective shown through this photo... and thats my favorite thing to see in photos. I would also hang this one up.

Shambala is a legendary city in the Himalayas where all one's dreams

are granted. It is hidden to all but very few. It is as an illusion.
