Tip me and other site owners of how to increase traffic!
I run stockholmviews.com since 2008 and are now only reaching approx 400 visitors a day :0(

I have a forum for DIY photography

I have made some gear reviews

There is also some nice DIY hardware (Both easy and advanced)

I have a free links directory feel free to post your URL there to!

I also have a Blogg witch I occasionally use for news that I snap up,

I use RSS feeds to post my updates on.

And a xlm site-map to feed the search robots with.

I also ask for help from other people with similar interests
and have had some help from them to get more material to post.

How can I improve it from where I am?
(Except from improving my English, since I will always be a Swede :0)

Regards/Stefan

This looks like a great diy 6x12 project that are doable for most handy mans.
Not all of us have access to a CNC machine but it can be done without to.

I reached my goal, I created a debate :0)
And I was sure that I would hurt some feelings and get fingers pointed at my method and thoughts.
But still, I do like the Digital better in most ways not only because it is convenient but also because
it gives me much more alternatives to variate my slide show.

In pure sharpness the good old slide projector is the winner but only if you enlarge the details in the way I
did in my shoot out test.

In the real world situation you would look at the image from a distance that would not reveal most of
the faves in the digital projection, instead other thing like rich colors and overall appearance will make the
digital image to look better for most people (Except for them who walk there way to the screen and examine
the image at a 2 feet distance).
Just feeding the fire/ Stefan

I just want to know what experience other photo.net readers have in regards
of post processing for LCD projection in 1080P.

During my "kind of" review or more correctly a
comparing test of the Panasonic PT-AE3000 projector and a good old Leica P150 slide projector
but are still wondering if it would be possible to get an even higher quality image from the Panasonic
by feeding it with better/other way of post processed files.

In my head to head review I scaled all files to 1080px high and applied some but not excessive USM.
I tested in several ways.

'slide vs scanned slide in analog vs digital projection' and

'Digital capture vs scanned slide in digital projection'

Does anyone have a better suggestion/experience of post processing for projection in 1080p?
Please let me and others take part of your thoughts and experience.

Regards/Stefan

I'm just in the middle of a comparing test with a trusty old Leica P150 tt copmpete against
a Panasonic PT-AE3000u digital projector.
I would love some feedback and maybe requests for particular tests and questions that might
have crossed your mind regarding this subject.
Follow the head to head test here:http://www.stockholmviews.com/digital-projector-for-slideshows/index.html

It is possible to scan Xpan film with some slide scanners that allow to be shifted a few mm in the scanning process as far as I know those scanners are Canon FS4000 and the Nikon Coolscan range. How you do it? Tutorial here: www.stockholmviews.com/xpan-scanning

I did the same you can find my description and idea of how to do it here!
DIY 6x17 project - how far do I have to position Schneider SA 90 f8 from film?
in Large Format
Posted

For film-flange distance I would suggest you take a look at this page
http://home.earthlink.net/~eahoo/page8/lenses.html#top
In the 90mm table I found this:

Schneider

Super Angulon

90

8.0

216

99

The 99 figure is for film to flange distance.
More on the DIY 6x17 subject can be found here http://www.stockholmviews.com/diyphotogear/diy_6x17_camera.html
