  1. I used to use my 4x5 Toyo for my architectural and product work but switched to

digital SLR's because of the high price of the scanning backs. I want to start

working again in the studio with the 4x5 and am looking for older technology

scanning backs, primarily because of price. I don't want to spend a lot of money

on this and a small file size/ mp would be o.k., as long as the sensor is a good

    quality. Anyone have any suggestions?

  2. Ask yourself what are you going to use the image for. I make sure that I shoot with enough room to crop, simply because I can't (usually) add more room to any image, but I can take it away. That's why I always shoot in RAW, NOT JPEG. If you shoot JPEG files, you won't have the quality when you do a serious crop, unless they are very large JPEG's. But RAW, or even TIFF if you don't have RAW, is the best capture.
  3. I guess you need to ask yourself for what purpose you want to stand out.

If you want to be seen as an artist then I think you need to align (or link) to those sites that reflect your tastes and contemporaries. If you want to be commercially sought out, then you need to study SEO (or hire someone),which is Search Engine Optimization. This is the inexact science of doing all the things that will give you page 1 or 2 rank in Google or Yahoo.
