Hi Kier,
I work in a printing studio, and what we usually do is put archival glassines between the prints to protect the surface. We've flatten many prints together many times in a press and I've seen it's perfectly fine, so don't worry.
About the drying time, 24 hours is the minimum time you should wait to frame the print.
Good luck on the exhibition,

hi,
both glass and plexiglass are archival and many artists choose to use the Face Mounting; it protects prints from ultraviolet radiation, finger prints, and air-borne pollutants. The one thing with this mounting technique is that it's unreversible..

Hi Rod,
I've been using the Epson UltraSmooth both 250gm (roll) and 500gm (cut sheet) and I have
to say that is a VERY delicate paper, specially the 500gm. The roll was much better, so if
you like a matte smooth finishing, you should give it a try.
Good luck!

Hi, I received a testing pack of Innova a couple of months ago. I tried it and I
really liked it, so I made an order of many boxes in different sizes. The thing
is that when I started printing on this new paper I found that the surface
wasn't as consistent as than the one I had tried before.
I was wondering if others have tried it, and what do you think of it.

Hello Scott,
Have you heard of Ken Allen's Studios? We are a pigment ink printing and digital production studio based in Brooklyn, NY. We use Epson and Canon medium and large format printers, ultrachrome k3 and lucia ink sets and a big selection of the finest papers available.

I agree with Patrick Lavoie about his method of reducing as much as possible the dust before the scanning better than spending hours in photoshop spotting it.
It's very important to work in a clean and dust free room.
I usually take a damp cloth and swipe it all over my working table and scanner to rise the level of humidity and reduce dust. I wear anti-static gloves to handle the film and an anti-static cloth to clean it very gently; Once I place the negative in the film holder I use an air compressor and with an anti-static brush (I have the "staticmaster", which I find very good) I swipe the film from the bottom, on both sides, so that the remaining of dust will fall.
It doesn't take much time to do all this and it can really save your time later...

I agree with Godfrey Di Giorgi in calling them "Archival Pigment Print", or "Pigment Ink Print". I work in a Printing Studio and when we print photographs for Galleries or Museums, together with each print we make a card with the information about the paper and the ink sets, which is very important for the stability and longevity of the image.

in The Digital Darkroom: Process, Technique & Printing

Hello,
I have to scan a bunch of 8x10 negatives on the Epson 10000XL photo. I've made a
search on the epson website to buy the holders for this size but I couldn't find
anything. does anybody know if I can buy them from epson, or if not, how can I
solve this issue?
Thanks,
Laura
