1. I have several questions about the type of equipment I would need for future

development and expansion of activity for product photography. I have a Canon

    20D with a 17-85mm f/ 4-5.6 USM IS
My general question is what type of lens is suitable for product photography?
What specification should it have? For studio shooting (not large format

    camera).
My idea of product photography is relatively small items, such as wall clock,

    watches, food etc.
I need to know, for instance, what lens would suit light tents, should it be a

wide lens, macro or..? what kind and...

If anyone could also advise on the lighting set power interms of w/s or joule, I

    would appreciate that.

  2. I am about to set up a photography studio, mainly for portrait and wedding

shoots. I also want to use it for some commercial photography as well

    (products).
I am looking for ANY idea, based on experience on what equipment would suit me best.

My camera is at the moment a Canon 20D and a 17-85mm f 4-5.6 USM IS lens +

    single C171 Broncolor strobe light

What I need is a lighting pack which I need some feedback on, in terms of brand,

    power etc.
The studio is 7m x 3m (which is about 23ft X 10ft).

My possible choices based on the available market stock are the followings:
1- JTL (110-160-200-300 J ) available at: http://somitaco.com/products/18/
2- Profoto (300-600-1200 J) available at: http://somitaco.com/products/18/
3- Broncolor (only 150 J at the moment) which is relatively expensive.
There are some other brands available as well but these are the possible

solutions. Even the third one is not very easily available.
Please also include "any" thing that might be needed softbox, reflector, etc.
