Wanted to try shooting the dogs in the new studio. Lighting
consists of two strobes positioned 45 deg to either side of the
camera and set about 45 deg above the "models". Lighting ratio was
approx 1:2. Background is black muslin which was further darkened
in PS but with some texture remaining. Exposure parameters are 24-
70/2.8@32mm f/11 1/60.

The great clashing of nature and man.

The picture on the left is straight out of the camera with no post
processing. The picture on the right has had a good deal of work
done (obviously). I think it worked out quite well. Enjoy (and
critique).

I liked the gradient in the sky and how is plays against the color of
the structure. This was taken the day after Typhoon 23 devistated
larger portions of Japan. Yokohama was spared much of the storms.
The following day was really quite nice. The ferris wheel is in
downtown Yokohama and this picture was taken from my hotel room
balcony.

Early morning during the short spring at Mt Rainier National Park in
Washinton, USA. Enjoy.

While on a whale watching tour one morning we came across this eagle
sitting in this tree on a very small island. I like the picture but
have never liked the color for some reason. This is the original
color image. I did two black and white version of this photo. The

SImply mirrored one of my sunset pictures. The "island" is actually
the end of a penisula from the mainland.

This capture was taken from the Oregon Museum of Science and
Industry. It was taken last December during a cold snap that created
some incredibly clear air in the Portland area. Oregonians will
probably enjoy this more than others.

I took a portrait framed picture of this scene a few
years ago but couldn't do a landscape for lack of a wide enough
lens. Last week I had a wide lens and after two days of rain (and
waiting) I was able to capture the landscape (along with about a
dozen other photographers). Comment and enjoy...

This panorama was taken from the top of the Dead Horse Creek trail at
Paradise at Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington. Sticted in
Panorama Factory from 4 captures. Comments and constructive critiques
are welcome. Most importantly...enjoy.

Our first days at Mt Rainier National Park this year were quite
rainy. The trails around Paradise were deserted. This was the first
picture I took on this trip. If not for the clouds, the mountain
would cover most of the background. Comment if you like it, critique
it if you must, but most of all...just enjoy it. -Kevin

Very nicely captured and presented. Good control of the DOF. Great color saturation. If I had to nit about anything I'd ask for just a bit more detail or contrast in the bee's head.

Hi Hugh. I don't do a lot of street shooting so keep that in mind with my comments. I would like to see the whole bike in the picture. Losing the back end is distracting.

This photograph is a combination of two exposures of the same scene. The first exposure captured the flowers and the mountains (1/4 @ f/13). The second captured the sunrise (1/125 @ f/13). I then used photoshop layer masks to combine the properly exposed portions of both captures. Several building were removed using the rubber stamp tool, and various other adjustments were made (local contrast enhancment, global curves, shadow recovery, some selective saturation adjustments, and sharpeneing). I've printed this at 24x30 and it looks great on the wall.

Needs more depth of field.

Thank you all for the kind comments. This photo was shot 3 years ago with my D30. I'm going back to Rainier in a week with my 10D and plan on trying this shot again. It came out very nice the first time but I have always wanted to shoot it with a wider lens too. I tried a landscape composition but just didn't have a wide enough lens at the time.
The skyline is definitely jpeg artifacting. I've looked at the skyline very carefully to ensure that the original source image has no alignment errors in it.
And I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to pass on the ND filter set. Thanks though.

Interesting that the camera in the mirror is in landscape while the resultant picture in portrait.

For cat lovers. Koday Royal Gold 400, scanned, de-noised in
NeatImage. Enjoy.

This image was captured last July 4th while on vacation in Paris. A
beautiful city that lights up wonderfully after the sun sets. The
image is stitched together from 3 portrait oriented exposures.
Other than sharpening for web display, it is unmanipulated.
