I have a question about ebay radio triggers and speedlights with the quick-
lock/release shoes (SB-80DX, SB-600, SB-800, etc.) Well, I just got a second
hand SB-80DX today and unlike my older Nikon strobes, the shoe has a quick-
lock/release.
Since it uses a locking pin and doesn't screw down, I can't figure out a way to
securely lock this down onto my ebay radio trigger - other than gaffer taping
the hell out of it.
Any solutions?

I say use what you have and what you're comfortable with.
Is 35mm the best for landscape? No. But does everyone enlarge bigger than 8x10? No. Your Leica is fine.

Hey Andrew!
Great pictures!! Really fantastic.
I'm glad the new camera is treating you well and vice versa

Why not get a neck strap and wrap it around your wrist a few times to double as a wrist strap?
This way, you have the best of both worlds.

Okay I'll try the covering trick and if that doesn't work out that well, I'll look for an ND filter/gel! Thanks for the responses everyone!

Edit: ...sometimes I use a *hand held* light meter...

I just purchased my first M a couple weeks back (an M6 wetzler classic) and
have been steadily learning to use it. So far everything is great.
However, it's really snowy around this time of year in Canada and very often, I
find it quite hard to see the meter arrows because of how bright the view
finder is. It's especially hard to see the arrows when the light is coming from
in front of me or if I'm metering a neutral area that is quite bright.
Just wondering if anyone else faces this difficulty and how to get around it.
Sometimes I use a light meter but I don't always carry it with me..

Just use black electrical tape or you can buy some felt w an adhesive back that you can stick on - make it all soft : )

I've read all over the place about black paint vs black chrome finishes where
many have commented that black chrome is just plain ugly when worn down. How
"ugly" can it really get? Does anyone have any good example photos of a worn
down black paint finish vs a worn down black chrome finish?
