Hello I have my fisrt possible beach wedding. Living in the central Florida
area, I knew this would happen eventually. I would just love to see some
samples of beach weddings any of you seasoned pros have done to get some ideas.
The wedding will be taking place at 6 in the evening but I'll be able to get
some shots before hand. The couple loved non-traditional photos so fun is what
they want. I know possiblilities are endless! Oh it's taking place just outside
of Jacksonville.
Thanks for any ideas, Kristina

Justin I had the similar problem several months back, just bought my d200/sb800 but couldn't afford a backup of the same. I bought a used d70 from ebay $400 and a sb600 for $180 from adorama. I love my d200 far better than d70 but it works just as well for a 2nd body and back-up. d70 is fairly equivalent to d200 as well (uses flash cards unlike newer d80 with sd) i wish i just would have got the sb 800 instead of 600 but not too big of a deal...budget was running out so extra $100 saved was good. Hope this helps!

im beginning to think it has something to do with my new computer. I hooked up the usb to camera/card and worked just fine.

I have windows vista so I guess their main operating system. Im going to try usb again. Tried it before and didn't work. I am using the card reader on the computer, i don't have a separate reader. Do you think these are better?

I have 2 compact flash cards 1bg and 4gb for my d200 and d70 I take some
pictures and put card in my computer to look at pictures and nothing....what am
i doing wrong? Ive used recovery pro and can get some images but I don't want
to have to do this every time! the cards are formatted before I start taking
pictures. And neither are working? I can see images on my lcd screen, do you
think something is wrong with the card reader on my computer. I don't think so,
computer is 2 months old. Any help is greatly appreciated while Im trying to
figure this out on my own.
Thanks, Kristina

Thank you Errol for asking this question! And congrats on becoming a grandpa...you'll love it im sure. I am pregnant myself with number 2 and have been wanting to eventually branch in this type of photography! So I plan on practicing on myself...so any ideas are great! Definititely dad-to-be with his ear to belly and kissing belly are classic!

im using bigblackbag . I like them pretty well, they are reasonable, and easy to build your site. it's only about $200 a yr. for everything.

WOW simply beautiful! I love the emotion you capture. What a gorgeous and truly in love couple...you can sense that from the images you took!
-
I like your photos. I agree with the opacity. The photos are really strong that i think you could up it a little with opacity.

I've wondered the same thing. I have the SB 800 and love it but need a back-up flash. would sb600 be sufficient enough to produce same quality of sb 800 without hefty price tag

Thank you Thank you! It was the red eye reduction! wow...so simple, gotta lot to learn!!!

Hello I am a blond and still learning my camera:) I have read the manuals and
can't figure it out. When I use my sb 800 flash on my d200 the flash repeats
several times before firing. I don't want to use this feature. I have switched
flash to different modes and no difference. I have switched the flash to my
d70 and no such problems. Has anyone had this problem, how do you correct.
thanks for your help

Hi thank you I have tried this and it says need to format, which will erase all the images. I have also tried hooking up my usb cable from camera to computer with no such luck...argh!

Hi Don not sure what you mean. Could you explain

I took a few pictures the other night of my family on my D200. I used a 1gb
Lexar Compact flash card. I took the card out of my D70 that I had taken a few
pictures on the day before. When I put the Card in my Card reader on my
computer nothing pops up like it normally does. Did I do something wrong by
switching the cards between cameras without formatting. The images are still
there, (about 25 of them) I would just like to be able to look at my images on
computer. Never had a problem before doing this. The card is only a few months
old as well. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hey I just ordered a pair of shoes from shoeforcrews.com I haven't got them yet so i cant critique yet or not. but they are designed for people in the restaurant industry, etc. They aren't bad looking, non-slip, reasonable--about $48 including shipping, only test is if they are comfortable for 10 hours :)

Tara it really depends on what they are wanting...do they want prints, also you have to think of your time, how much time are you spending taking photos? Most photographers start around $100 an hour and then on up. I start some one of my packages around $595.00 which is cheap probably by most photographers on this website.

Hi I am new so I have a lot to learn. I've read where the sb800 can work with
the d200 without being attached to the camera. How do I set this up. I'd like
to have my sb800 on a bracket about a foot above my camera. I haven't bought a
snyc cord yet. Do i really need one...if i can set this up a different way?
Thanks...still getting familar with my d200...my 1st digitial slr.

The typical throwing of garter and flowers is a custom. There are many religions that don't take part in this tradition.

Okay I know these questions have been asked a million times here so Im going
to bug everyone and do it again. I am purchashing a Nikon d200 w/kit lense 18-
70. My back-up camera will more than likely be a d70. What other lense would
be essential for weddings.
Yes i'd love to purchase the nikon 70-200/2.8 but the budget isn't allowing
for that right now. Do i need a wider lens for formals, will the 18-70 be
enough. I just know I need another lens to capture things. Around the $400-500
range or lower is what i can afford. What do you all recommend I buy as an
additional lense....thanks for your help--Kristina

Hello
I am taking pictures of my brother-in-laws wedding in May during the
ceremony. The ceremony is not your typical church but rather a building with
no windows and fluorescent lighting. I know fluorescent lighting can sometimes
be difficult. It is out of state so I'll only really have the rehearsel to
practice. So i just wanted some thought before hand what is the best approcah?
I should be allowed to use flash. I'll be using a d200/back-up d70. the d200
should have flash bracket with sb800 attached. Thanks All help is appreciated!
-Kristina (new to photo.net, my first 'real' wedding also, can't wait to be
more part of this site..love it)

Hi Jen I took the regular course ($800) and am currently in the middle of it. i agree with the others, some of the info is outdated. But overall it is a good background study in the aspects of photography. It will make you feel more comfortable with your camera. Hope this helps!
