I just picked up a working Quantaray QTA 85 hotshoe flash and was wondering if
anyone has used one before. I have searched Google with to no avail for info on
this flash. I was also wondering if it was safe to use on my Canon XTi. It looks
a lot like my Vivitar 283 and seems just as old. So I'm guessing not.... Any
info would be helpful.

Ok, so I picked up a cheap flash at the thrift store branded "Kinetic". I'm
sure it is nothing near spectacular. I was just wondering if anyone was familiar
with the Kinetic brand and if it would be safe to use on my Rebel 2000, for
experimental purposes. Thanks.

OK, so i figured out this has to do with the meter coupler....but I have a MC Rokkor 58mm f/1.4 which has a rectangular pole going towards he camera body when mounted. How is this supposed to "Couple" with the camera? I've seached all over the web and nothing explains this. I am quite puzzled. If anyone could post a picture of how these are "coupled" or an explanation it would be great.

So, I found a replacement battery and the Meter is functioning now, but I was
wondering if the f-stop should change the placement of the circular arm? The
circle moves when I change ISO and shutter speed. I don't see how the f-stop on
the lens can move anything mechanically on the camera.... If there is any site
that explains how to use the meter It would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I just came into the possesion of a Minolta SRT101 and want to make sure it
functions properly before investing in Wein cells or adapters. If the voltage of
a hearing aid battery is +.15 volts what adjustments would be most common to
compensate for this change in current? Should I change the selected ISO or
adjust shutter speed? Should I just experiment with different settings and take
notes? Are there any "better" hearing aid batteries to use than others? Any
advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

Ok,
Well I happended tocome across some enlargers for a steal, and I was wondeirng
if it was worth for me to hold onto them or to just try and sell them and see
what comes if it. They are an old Omega B22 and a more recent Omega C-700. The
C-700 come with a negative carrier and another glass shield. I am a beginner,
just out of college and primarily a musician, who is pursuing photography as a
hobby. I was toying with the idea of starting my own darkroom, but I would need
to find a condenser lense for one of the enlargers and all necessary equipment.
So the question is do I sell the enlargers? can i sell them? Should I just
continue with using film and get them developed until I'm ready for a digital?
There probably aren't any solid answers, but ideas will help. Thanks.

Hmm.. yeah I think I will have to look into getting a safe sync. Does anyone know what kind of cameras these were made for, in case I stumble upon something?

I was wondering if this Vivitar 283 (Made in Japan) I bought at the thrift store
today can be used with my Canon Rebel 2000? I know it fries Digital SLRs. If it
can't be used with my Rebel what cameras can I use it on?

I was wondering what, in your experience, has proven to be the best place to go
to get a domain name and set up a website/online portfolio. I am looking for a
place to put up my concert photography photos. I don't really make money with
photography at this point so I can't afford anything super pricey. Any Advice
will be helpful. Thanks.
