I shot this at an outdoor feeder in Fairbanks, AK, using a car as a

blind by sitting in the driver's seat and shooting through the open

passenger side window. The background was cluttered, ambient light

was low and temp was -20F, so I hung a black backdrop behind the

feeder, and lit it with a White Lightning strobe with a soft box.

This is the last photo in a sequence of 3 that hopefully captured the

belligerent personality of the Redpolls.

Hows this? What would improve the strength of the image?

Awesome combination... caught the decisive moment, beautiful composition with the center bird on the vertical 1/3rd, the lower bird on the 1/3 vert/horiz. intersection, the upper bird on the horiz. 2/3 line, and the branch with brilliant colors near the bottom, serving as both frame and foundation for the rest of the frame. I'm envious (!)
