  1. Great photo, John. This one is just as inspiring as many of your other photos here. The hand tugging on the purse adds that extra drama to the scene and the tilted horizon works better in this photo than in many others I've encountered.

I wouldn't worry about the ratings at all--and I'm sure that you don't--as one simple formula of obtaining high ratings here apparently seems to require preoccupying yourself with posting naked females (no offense to those who do).

I just want to say that I really appreciate your long and thoughtful explanations and replies to comments. I hope you keep it up for the community.

    The Argument

Usually, I'm not a huge fan of macrophotography but I can't help but love this one. Not only are the colors stunting, the interaction between the two subjects, contrasting sizes, and etc., really turn this macrophotograph into something more than a technical success. Clearly it tells a story.

By the way, who won the argument?

Michael is a very good photographer. I think Michael means, "in the future, be careful not to cut someone's legs off if you were to take another shot similar to this one again." It would've made a more interesting photo if the photo included his legs immersed in water.

Very interesting... I really like Steve's crop. I didn't know that tilting the photo slightly counterclockwise like that would ease engaging her eyes and make the photo more personal.

Thanks for all your comments and advices. The softness was intented but I'll have to try upping the contrast. Hiding the toe also seems like a great advice.

For a nude lanscape photography assignment, I shot this of someone's

feet instead. I'm curious to know what you guys think of this one.

Does it work or is it too bland? As always, I welcome brutual

criticism and/or nitpicking. Technical advices welcome. Thanks for

    looking.
