Deeply grateful for spending time to give inspirating and well thought-out responses to a greenhorn like me. I mean to say that comments like "NICE PICTURE" and alike are surely polite, but telling nothing about to bring someones skills forward.

My lession is, that only reading books, magazines and web-pages cannot supersede REAL critics and comments of like-minded and competent people. So i will keep on learning and will soon post my next - hopefully - better composed pictures.

I am not a poet, but this feelings were inside me while stepping

through the knee-deep snow in this winter landscape near Hammerfest

around 12 o'clock. The sun stays below the horizon in these last

days of the polar winter, strong wind was blowing and the sky was

overcast.

As a former "point-and-shooter" an now beginning "photo-grapher", i

hope that i can transfer a little bit of my feelings with this

picture. If not, please be so kind and tell me what you are thinking

about, because i want to improve my skills and learn how to take

impressive pictures and to develop my own style.

This is my first presentation ever in a photo community and your

critics, comments and suggestions are very welcome !
