  1. Thank you all for taking time to address my petty concern. I had hoped for critiques to better my skills for photography, but it is what it is. I just figured if your going to give a low rate at least let the photographer know why, even if it's just because you don't like it. Oh well. Your advice and suggestions are noted and I have now made it a sincere habit to carefully study each and every photo I can on P/N. See what works, what techniques I like, composition, lighting, etc... So I'll stop 'whining' and keep shooting. :) Thanks again for all your insight and guidance! <>< Sonny <><
  2. Thank you for your time and much appreciated feed-back. I will take both of your advise and put them into practice. Again thank you for your insight. I'm loving my new found exploration into photography. <>< Sonny <><
  3. Since posting on here I've been trying to improve and basically learn

photography. So I post my 'amateurish' photos trying new techniques, angles,

exposures, etc... I even dabbled into digital alterations. Here's my question,

I worked hard on one photo posted and received a few ratings. Most were high

then I got one 3/3. Now that's fine, but if you're going to low ball a photo

shouldn't you leave a comment, critique or something to help me understand and

ultimately improve? In fact I received no comments or critiques, on a few

different photos. But then I see a picture of a seagull floating in a pond with

15 comments and 7/7's? Am I wrong in wanting feedback? Good, bad or

indifferent? I do for others. Maybe I'm whining.(in fairness a couple of high

profile photographers on here have left some comments and for that I am very

    grateful).
