This is too cool. Though if it were me, I'd try to get more of the band into the shot.

Wow. This is very, very nicely done. I really appreciate the shadows across the front; they add a depth that would have been ruined by flatter lighting. I think the crop is fine, though cropping it square (leaving the top and bottom alone) works just as well. The one thing I'm just a little disappointed in is the lack of lighting on the darker bunch of grapes. But never having done anything half so good I'm just going to say "Good job!"

An intriguing image. I don't often have any interest in the photo of the week, but this one was so surreal I had to see it bigger. I like it. There is an air of mystery about it that is accentuated by having the woman's face obscured. I would like it better if the salt piles were moved to the upper right instead of sitting smack in the center.

I too would like to see a bit more contrast, and perhaps deeper shadows in the wall. I'm not at all disturbed by the light from the window. There's something about this image that carries me back to the 10th century. Very nicely done.
