Thank you all for the information, I wanted to be sure before purchasing the Olympus flash units. The wireless function is not a factor for me, but I do use TTL and thats what I wanted to know..thanks again.

I am purchasing the dmc-l1 and I want to be sure if I can use Olympus brand

flash units..

like the fl50 or fl36?..The reviews I have read mention it in passing but I want

to be sure because the Olympus brand units are considerably less

expensive.Thanks for any help..

B&H ad indicates May arrival. Canon USA website support (manual, downloads,etc..) says it will commence in June...

My local shops holding fee is $250 US...I think I'd like to rent one when they are available for rental before plunking down $4500.

Thanks to all for your replies. Yesterday my shop got a hold of one for me. The issues with Sekonic's pdf files on their website are strange. On some computers the files are complete, on others they are not. I let Sekonic know thru an email so they can address the bug, but recived no reply. Thank you again for graciously offering me your PDF files. As for Frank X's question, I do know hat they list a spot attachment for the 358 in their manual, I believe its 5 or 10 degree. My selection of the 758 was the profiling. I like precise, technical product photography and noticed that with my 20D, I always had to a different reading to get the look I wanted. By trial and error, along with the calibration procedures, I have the 758 programmed to the way I like my photos to look. Personally I did not have a sensor that was so "off" on my cameras that required the 758's calibration features.

But I have worked it onto my shooting for the effects I want. Its accurate and reliable, and the software works as advertised for me. If you feel you have cameras or just one with varied results based on an inaccurate sensor, it may be what you want or need. For me it is just a luxury in my hobby for my ultra precise goals. I am still learning a lot. The 558 worked great for me before I got the 758.

Hello all,

I purchased a 758DR new, but it came with no manual. The PDF file included on

the cd and on their website is incomplete with certain pages just blank.

Sekonic has yet to answer my emails, and the store I purchased it from is

waiting to receive another shipment to give me a manual.

I know all the basics and more, but in particular, the missing manual sections

(pages 42-46 are about manually inputting my own calibration settings. Would

anyone here have these pages or know where else I could get a manual? No luck on

Ebay or Sekonics distributor either.
