I love the skin tone. I've also been trying to do some street shots in harlem, always find that it is difficult to get good skin tone.

I am trying do some street shots in Harlem. What I find out is that it is always difficult to get good tone for dark skins. What kind of lighting should be ideal? Please advise.

I scanned with Minolta Scan Dual II, CI=0.55 in VUESCAN. The contrast
seems to be low and I increased about 15 in photoshop. So any
comments about my scanning? Should I increase the contrast a little
bit more? Please advise me on everything, I am a beginner. Thanks a
lot.

I am a Chinese and never heard that being a Catholic is illegal, and for crackdowns or arrests, maybe is for Fa Lungong, they are not even considered as religion by US gonvernment. Nice photo, anyway.
